DESCRIPTION -- This item is a bit of a mystery but is an unusual find which is a brass plate, which is thought to be from an old naval vessel. It is likely that it is of naval origins and it is in a superb condition with the size of the brass plate being 6" x 5" (15cm x 12.5cm) It is an unusual find with an inscription on the plate as follows:
VALVE SHAFT ROTATES IN CLOCKWISE DIRECTION
GREASE ONLY WHEN POSITION 4 OR 8 IS INDICATED AT OBSERVATION HOLE IN COVER
RECOMMENDED GREASE ACHESON COLLOIDS GRADE W.V.

DESCRIPTION -- Postcard sized photograph of the Royal Naval ship HMS Engadine which is in an excellent condition.

CONDITION -- Excellent
HISTORY -- HMS Engadine was a 9,909 GRT cargo ship laid down at the Greenock Dockyard Company, Greenock, Scotland on 16 March 1940, launched on 26 May 1941 and completed on 17 November 1941. She was ordered by Clan Line, and was to be named Clan Buchanan (the previous Clan Buchanan having been sunk by the German auxiliary cruiser Pinguin on 28 April 1941). However the Admiralty requisitioned her for the Royal Navy before completion and renamed after the first HMS Engadine for use as a seaplane depot ship.

DESCRIPTION -- B/W photograph of the Royal Naval vessel 'HMS Cornwall'. The photo is taken while docked in Shanghai during 1939 and is from our collection of over 1000 shipping photos, is in a good condition and protected in a plastic wallet. HMS Cornwall was a famous naval cruiser built in 1928 and was tragically sunk in June 1942.

CONDITION -- Very Good
HISTORY -- HMS Cornwall was a County class heavy cruiser of the Kent subclass of the Royal Navy. She was built at Devonport Dockyard (Plymouth, UK), with the keel being laid down on 9 October 1924. She was launched on 11 March 1926, and commissioned 8 May 1928. Upon completion in 1928 Cornwall joined the China Station. In 1936 Cornwall had completed her tour of duty and left the China Station for United Kingdom for a refit the following year. In 1938 with the refit completed Cornwall joined the 2nd Cruiser Squadron.

DESCRIPTION -- Unusual item to have come across which is a superb match holder barrel item with a striker base, which has been hand made out of wood. It is set on a table plinth and the whole item is made from the original battleships timbers of the old vessel HMS BIRMINGHAM. There is a plaque attached to the piece with inscription and the size is 5" (13.5cm) high and it is in a fantastic condition.

CONDITION -- Excellent
HISTORY -- HMS Birmingham was lead ship of the Birmingham group of three ships of the "Town" class of light cruisers built by the Royal Navy. Her sister ships were Lowestoft and Nottingham. The three ships were virtually identical to the third group of "Town" ships, but with an additional 6 in (150 mm) gun worked in on the forecastle.

DESCRIPTION -- Postcard of the Royal Naval ship HMS Caprice which is in an excellent condition.

CONDITION -- Excellent
HISTORY -- HMS Caprice was a C-class destroyer of the Royal Navy, ordered on 16 February 1942 from Yarrow, Scotstoun. She was originally to be named HMS Swallow but this was changed to Caprice before launch to fit her revised class name. She is the only British Warship to have had this name. She was adopted by the Civil Community of Bexley and Welling, as part of the Warship Week programme.

HISTORY -- HMS Rapid was an R-class destroyer of the Royal Navy that saw service during the Second World War and was sunk as a target in 1981.

DESCRIPTION -- Postcard sized photograph of the Royal Naval ship HMS Bulwark which is in an excellent condition.

CONDITION -- Excellent
HISTORY -- The sixth HMS Bulwark of the Royal Navy was a 22,000 tonne Centaur-class light fleet aircraft carrier. Initially commissioned as a light aircraft carrier in 1954, the ship was later converted into a commando carrier in 1958 and recommissioned as such in 1960. Bulwark remained in this capacity until 1969. Then, in 1979, following failed efforts to sell the ship, Bulwark re-entered service as an anti-submarine warfare carrier and remained as such until being decommissioned in 1981. The ship was scrapped in 1984.

HISTORY -- HMS Tyne is the sixth Royal Navy ship to carry the name Tyne. She is a River-class offshore patrol vessel built by Vosper Thornycroft in Southampton to serve as a fishery protection unit within the United Kingdom's waters along with her two sister ships Mersey and Severn. All three were commissioned into service in 2003 to replace the five older Island-class patrol vessels.

DESCRIPTION -- Interesting item connected with the ship HMS Worcester 1860-1948 which is an actual piece of ships timber, and it is combined together with a decanter stopper and port chain taken from on board, just before the last days of this well known ship. This is an unusual piece and the size is approx. 5" x 3" (13cm x 8cm).
