HISTORY -- The Royal Naval Reserve (RNR) is the volunteer reserve force of the Royal Navy (RN) in the United Kingdom. The present Royal Naval Reserve was formed in 1958 by merging the original Royal Naval Reserve and the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve (RNVR), a reserve of civilian volunteers founded in 1903. The RNR was active in both the First and Second World War and were only recently activated, in 2003, for the Second Gulf War (Iraq War)

DESCRIPTION -- From the early 1920's this is a hand made item by a seaman on board a vessel and was found tucked away in a drawer, where it appears to have been left for many years. It is a pouch item of some sought which would have stored away personal belongings. It is still in very good condition, and it shows the Royal Navy crest on the front and the size of the pouch open is 14" x 9" (36cm x 23cm).

DESCRIPTION -- Very old and rare to find Royal Naval china 'soup bowl' from the Jason Class wooden screw corvette 'WOLVERINE'. It dates from about the late 1860's and at the top is marked with the ship 'WOLVERINE' logo and a gold design around the edge. It is still in very good order for its age and the size is approx. 10" (25cm) wide.
