SOUVENIR MAP DISH FROM A VISTAFJORD 1984 CRUISE 

DESCRIPTION -- From the vessel Vistafjord this is a round souvenir dish and the size is 4" (10.5cm) wide and shows on the dish 'VISTAFJORD May 27 ' June 9 1984'. It is in an as new condition and bottom marked by makers.

CONDITION -- As new/Unused

HISTORY -- On 15th May 1973, more than four months ahead of schedule, the Vistafjord was delivered to Norwegian America Line. After a naming ceremony in Oslo, she initiated her first transatlantic crossing to New York on 22nd May and later that year begun to make long distance cruise for the NAL loyal clientele, together with her sister.

EDITION OF THE CUNARDER YEARBOOK FROM 2011 ​​​​​​​

DESCRIPTION -- An edition of the extremely popular Cunard Line yearbook The Cunarder from 2011 which is in an excellent as new condition.

CONDITION -- Excellent

HISTORY -- Cunard Line, a subsidiary of Carnival Corporation, has a long and illustrious history and is arguably one of the most venerable cruise line brands in the world, with a lineage stretching back to 1840 making it the second oldest cruise line (after P&O Cruises) and operating some of the most famous ships ever to set sail, including the Lusitania, Mauretania, Carpathia, Queen Mary and QE2.

VERY EARLY CUNARD STEAMSHIP COMPANY DINING PLATE

DESCRIPTION -- From the Cunard Line this is an early plate which is extremely colourful and a rare find and not mny of this style are seen around.  It is bottom marked ‘Cunard Steamship Company’ and is in an excellent condition dating from the 1930’s/40’s with the size as 6" (15cm).

CONDITION -- Excellent

HISTORY -- The Cunard Line was the only company to continue regular transatlantic ocean crossings by liners after the 1970s.  The French Line, Italian Line, the United States Line had gone out of business.  Swedish America Line, Holland America Line along with Home Lines continued but only operating cruise ships.  Liner service between New York and Europe was only offered by Cunard.   The QE2 made numerous crossings into the 21st Century – making Cunard Line the only way to cross the pond and continuing the tradition of “getting there is half the fun.”

SUPERB EARLY FRAMED COLOUR PICTURE OF THE RMS QUEEN MARY

DESCRIPTION -- From the RMS Queen Mary this is an early framed colour picture of the vessel which is 14½″ x 11″ (37cm x 28cm) which is in a good condition.

CONDITION -- Good

HISTORY -- The original cruise liner RMS Queen Mary, built in 1937 made her 516th and final voyage to Long Beach, California on December 9, 1967. Queen Mary rests in the Long Beach harbor, converted into a hotel and tourist attraction. Guides' voices echo in the now-empty engine room, where 27 boilers once generated 160,000 horsepower. She's been in Long Beach longer than she sailed the oceans, and the ship has become an icon for its home city.

LAST TRANSATLANTIC VOYAGE QUEEN MARY POSTAL CARD DATED 1967

DESCRIPTION -- From the famous old vessel the RMS Queen Mary this is a last transatlantic voyage postal card dated 21st September 1967 which is in a good condition.

CONDITION -- Good

HISTORY -- The RMS Queen Mary was retired from service in 1967. On 27 September, she completed her 1,000th and last crossing of the North Atlantic, having carried 2,112,000 passengers over 3,792,227 miles (6,102,998 km). Under the command of Captain John Treasure Jones, who had been her captain since 1965, she sailed from Southampton for the last time on 31 October with 1,093 passengers and 806 crew. After a voyage around Cape Horn, she arrived in Long Beach on 9 December when she was rested as a floating hotel.

A SET OF FIRST DAY STAMPS FROM THE GATHERING OF THE 3 CUNARD QUEENS AT SOUTHAMPTON

DESCRIPTION -- This is a set of first day stamps which is always good to own of the recent event in 2018, the gathering of the 3 Cunard Queens at Southampton, UK.  Unused and as new and only so many were produced for the event.

CONDITION -- Unused 

HISTORY -- This was a rare occasion to see all three Queens together with Southampton being the only place in the world to have hosted the three Queens three times.  The ships arrived together at dawn on the 1oth August 2018, to begin a day of spectacular celebrations, with an early morning birthday salute that saw the tune of Happy Birthday played by the ships’ whistles sounding out across Southampton Water.

RARE TO FIND CUNARD LINE 125TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION NEWSPAPER

DESCRIPTION -- This item is a rare find and follows the first 125 years of the Cunard Line shipping company in a celebration newspaper edition in 1965, which is in a very good condition. Not many copies of this are seen around thesedays.

CONDITION -- Very Good 

HISTORY -- In 1840, Sir Samuel Cunard set sail aboard Britannia, bound for North America. With this, he founded the first regularly scheduled transatlantic steamship service.  Since that date, there have been hundreds of ships owned and operated by the Cunard Line. From the early paddle steamers, to the giant of the Queens, Cunard Line has operated a vast array of ships in an almost 18-decade history.

QUEEN MARY 2 SPECIAL COMMEMORATIVE BOOKLET FROM 2004

DESCRIPTION -- This booklet is now no longer in print and was published at the time of the new Queen Mary 2 coming into existence.  It covers the naming, launch and the features of the vessel and is in an unused as new condition.

HISTORY -- The RMS Queen Mary 2 (also referred to as the QM2) is a British transatlantic ocean liner. She has served as the flagship of Cunard Line since succeeding Queen Elizabeth 2 in 2004.  As of 2020, Queen Mary 2 is the only purpose-built passenger ship designed as an ocean liner, as opposed to a cruise ship.  The ship was officially named Queen Mary 2 by Queen Elizabeth II in 2004 after the first RMS Queen Mary of 1936.

STORY OF THE QE2 BOOK BY CAPTAIN RONALD W. WARWICK

DESCRIPTION -- This is a book covering the story of the famous Cunard Line vessel the QE2 with great colour pictures and showing decks plans of the ship.  In an unused as new condition and an expensive buy when it was first published and contains over 220 pages.

CONDITION -- Unused 

HISTORY -- RMS Queen Elizabeth 2, often referred to simply as QE2, is a retired British ocean liner converted into a floating hotel. Originally built for the Cunard Line, QE2 was operated by Cunard as both a transatlantic liner and a cruise ship from 1969 to 2008. It was then laid up until converted and since 18 April 2018, she has been operating as a floating hotel in Dubai.  QE2 was designed for the transatlantic service from her home port of Southampton, UK to New York, United States and was named after the earlier Cunard liner RMS Queen Elizabeth. She served as the flagship of the line from 1969 until succeeded by RMS Queen Mary 2 in 2004.
