DESCRIPTION -- This item is a pair of early colour photographs of the Orient/P&O Line vessel the Oriana which are in a very good condition.
CONDITION -- Very Good
HISTORY -- The SS Oriana was launched on the 3rd November, 1959 by Princess Alexandria of Kent and took her name from that given to Queen Elizabeth I (1533-1603) by the poets of that era.

HISTORY -- Johnson Line (Swedish: Johnsonlinjen) was a Sweden-based shipping line founded in 1904 as a subsidiary of Rederi AB Nordstjernan. In 1982 Johnson Line absorbed Rederi AB Svea, another Rederi AB Nordstjernan owned company, hence becoming a member of the Finnish-Swedish Silja Line consortium. Johnson Line merged with the Valley Line shipping company and traded as Valley Line Shipping for a while. Johnson Line ceased existing as an independent company in 1990

HISTORY -- Harrison Line, officially T&J Harrison, was a shipping line founded by the brothers Thomas and James Harrison in Liverpool, England in 1853. It ran both cargo and passenger services, starting with the import of French brandy from Charente.

HISTORY -- Ellerman Lines was a UK cargo and passenger shipping company that operated from the late nineteenth century and into the twentieth century. It was founded in the late 19th century, and continued to expand by acquiring smaller shipping lines until it became one of the largest shipping firms in the World.
