A CANDLE/FLOWER HOLDER FROM THE N.Z.S.S.CO

This item is from the N.Z.S.S.Co. and is a candle/flower holder. It is 4½" (11.5cm) high and is from the vessel SS Rahine of the company. The item shows on the front of it the company logo (click on the picture to see a close up viw of it). The candle/flower holder is in a good condition and a rare find.

AN OLD BOOK MARK SOUVENIR FROM THE NEW ZEALAND SHIPPING CO.

This is an unusual item to have found. It is a bookmark souvenir from The New Zealand Shipping Company Of Holland. It is considered an old souvenir piece.

At the bottom of the bookmark is shown the company houseflag which is in full colour. The item is in a superb condition and a rare find. Click on the picture to see a close up of the houseflag.

OLD N.Z.S.S.Co. LIBRARY BOOK AND BEN LINE SOUVENIR MATCHES

This is a pair of items which are sold as one but are not connected with each other.

The first is an old library book from The New Zealand Shipping Company and is entitled ‘The Cloud Above The Green’ by Philip Gibbs. It is stamped inside the front cover as property of the shipping line and is still in an excellent condition.

The second item is from The Ben Line shipping company and is a souvenir set of unopened and unused matches. The complete set is still wrapped in polythene and shows the following vessels:

·· Benvenue 1883
·· Bencleuch 1875
·· Bennevis 1928 – 1941
·· City of Edinburgh

The two items are in A1 condition and considered to be very collectable.

A SET OF PLAYING CARDS FROM THE NEW ZEALAND SHIPPING CO.

This item is a set of playing cards from the New Zealand Shipping Company. They are a complete full set and all in a very good condition. Of the playing cards the Ace cards have the name of the shipping line across them. They are an as used on board set and are fairly old and difficult to date.

A COASTER SOUVENIR SET FROM THE N.Z.S.S.CO.

This item is a superb souvenir from The New Zealand Steamship Company. It is from the vessel The ‘Rangitane’ and is a boxed set of coaster mats showing great views of London, England. The views include:

* Tower Bridge

* Piccadilly Circus

* The Houses of Parliament

* Trafalgar Square

* The Tower of London

* Buckingham Palace

The set is in an excellent condition and has been virtually unused. This old souvenir is a nice piece from this shipping line and is dated aprox 1960's.

A SHIP’S LIBRARY BOOK & POSTCARD FROM THE N. Z. S. S. Co.

This is a nice pair of items, which are both from the N.Z.S.S.Co. The first item is an original Library Book taken from on board a N.Z.S.S.Co. Vessel. It is entitled ‘The Curse Of The Kate’ and is stamped with the Shipping Line & vessel details inside. The size is 8” x 6” (20cm x 13cm).

The second item is a postcard of The N.Z.S.S.Co. vessel RMV RANGITATA. It is in a mint condition and is unused. The size is 3½” x 5½” (9cm x 14cm). Both of these items are quite old and are originals from the N.Z.S.S.Co.

A SHIP’S OFFICERS CAP FROM THE N. Z. S. S. Co.

This item is an original object from the N. Z. S. S. Co. and was as used in service with the company. It is a Ship’s Officers Cap, which is a size 6. The Cap shows on the front the Crossed New Zealand/Federal Line Houseflags & Anchor. It is in a good condition and difficult to date, though it is presumed an old item.
