This is a superb item in so much that an original object like this is very hard to find today, especially still in one piece. It is an ebony large size ship’s ‘chart rule’ with nice brass ‘thurles’ attached. As seen from the picture, it is still in an excellent condition for an old object. The overall length of the chart rule is 24" (61cm) and to some people this is a very collectable type of item.
