CHROME SPOON SOUVENIR FROM THE MONTE TOLEDO OF AZNAR LINE

This item is a silver coloured spoon souvenir from the Aznar Line Shipping Company. It is from the vessel The Monte Toledo and shows on it at the top of the spoon a coloured picture of the company houseflag. The spoon is in a great condition and an original item from the company. The Aznar Line (Sota y Aznar until 1939) operated cargo and passenger services from Spain to South America, United States and the Caribbean. Later they were allocated a large share of the Canary Islands fruit and vegetable market to Britain, sailing to both London and Liverpool. In the late 1940s, the Spanish government ordered six Monasterio Class cargo-passenger ships off around 10000grt. Three of these were allocated to the Aznar Line:- Monte Urbasa (1948), Monte Urquiola (1949) and Monte Ulia (1952).

The Aznar Line ordered a fourth ship, the Monte Udala (1948). A similar ship, the Monte Umbe was delivered in 1959. In 1974, the first of two large cruise-ferries arrived, the Monte Toledo entering service between Southampton and Santander. A sistership, Monte Granada, was delivered a year later for summer service between Liverpool and the Canary Islands (Amsterdam-Southampton-Santander in winter). The services were ahead of their time, and the ships were sold to Libya in 1977 as Garnata and Toletela. They remained in service until 2002

A SOUVENIR BAG FROM THE GREEK LINE ‘EPIROTIKI’

This item is from the Greek shipping line The Epirotiki Maritime Company. It is a superb souvenir crafted bag, which would have been sold on board. The rope handled bag shows the name of the shipping line on it and is in a very good condition. The size of the bag is 15" x 13" (38cm x 32cm) plus the rope handle.

A DECORATIVE COASTER / PIN DISH FROM THE TS HANSEATIC

This item is a coaster/pin dish from The TS Hanseatic of The Hamburg Atlantic Line shipping company. The size is 4” (10cm) wide and it is in a great condition. It is marked with the vessel name and the shipping line and is the first we have seen from this company.

A SUPERB DEMITASE CUP FROM THE VESSEL ‘PEPITA’ DATED 1910

Here we have a superb demitasse cup from the vessel ‘Pepita’. It is dated circa 1910 and is marked with the name and logo as seen. It was made in London, England many years ago and is in an excellent condition.

DECK PLANS AND INTERIOR VIEWS OF VESSEL ‘ALEXANDER PUSHKIN'

This item is a scarce to find set of deck plans and interior views from the old Russian ship ‘The MS Alexander Pushkin’.

This vessel was part of the Baltic Steamship Company fleet and at one time was their superb flagship. This item is old and exact date is not known, but is however in a superb mint condition.

AN ASHTRAY FROM THE KUNGSHOLM OF THE SWEDISH AMERICA LINE

This item is an original round glass ashtray souvenir from The MS Kungsholm of the Swedish America Line shipping company. The item shows the company logo in the centre and also shows the name of the vessel across it. The size of this ashtray is 3¾" (9.5cm) wide and is a typical example of that which was to be found in the cabins of the ship. It is in an excellent condition and is not often seen available.

A GLASS ‘ROLL TOP’ ASHTRAY FROM MS VENUS OF THE BERGEN LINE

This item is in an excellent near mint condition and is fairly old. It is a ‘roll top’ design glass ashtray from The Bergen Line shipping company. The item is from the vessel THE M.S. VENUS and shows a view of the vessel on it. The ashtray reads on it The Bergen Line and the name of the ship. The size of this piece is 4" (10cm) across and it is near perfect.

PAIR OF ITEMS FROM THE COAST LINES STEAMER MV PACIFIC COAST

This is a pair of items from The Coast Lines steamer The m.v. Pacific Coast. The items are as follows:

• A capacity plan, which is nicely detailed and would be ideal for framing. The size of the plan is 13" x 9½" (33cm x 25cm).

• A maiden voyage photograph of the vessel at sea. The size is 10" x 8" (25.5cm x 20cm).

These items are considered very scarce and are dated circa mid 1940’s.

AN EARLY SHIPS ASHTRAY FROM THE GREEK LINE VESSEL ‘ARKADIA’

This item is an early ships glass ashtray from The Greek Line shipping company. It is from the vessel ‘Arkadia’ and is in a really very good condition. It is an unusual find and the size is 3¼" x 3½" (9.5cm x 9cm).

A SPECIAL CHINA ASHTRAY FROM THE LINER SS HERMES

This item is a rare to find souvenir ashtray from THE EPIROTIKI LINE vessel SS Hermes. It is a china piece made to commemorate a 1957 cruise. It is beautifully decorated but shows a small amount of damage due to age (hardly noticeable). The size of this piece is 6" (15cm) wide.
